Anne Arundel County is host to Fort George G Meade, the home of NSA and a major gainer to the BRAC 2005 decision. Through the BRAC process, Fort Meade will be the site for the relocation and consolidation of several Department of Defense (DOD) organizations. As a result, 5,695 direct jobs will be consolidated to Fort George G. Meade from around the Country. The BRAC process is scheduled to be completed by September of 2011.
